Chemical based sunscreens will apply virtually clear, as they utilize chemical absorbers and have little to no zinc in the formulation. Here is our recommendation, simply take the active and inactive ingredients that you're not sure of and put them into Wikipedia or Google to obtain a quick insight into the research surrounding those chemicals.

We utilize the highlest level of Zinc in our formulation. The sunscreen absorbs surprisingly well into the skin and does not cause the "ghosting" caused by pasty zinc formulas. With that said, it does not go on perfectly clear.

We engineered our sunscreen for people that are serious about sun protection and that aren't interested in gambling with chemical based sunscreens. We have tested it from surfers in California, at high altitude with skiers and snowboarders, to cyclists in the heat of summer in Austin, Texas. The responses have all been amazing.
